Phoenix

I got into Phoenix almost a year ago, and they are still, to this date, one of my favorite alternative bands. I can not express how extravagant their music is. I can put on "United" and listen to the extremely chill songs, or put on "Wolfgang Amadeus", and listen to more pop sounding alternative. Some of my absolute favorite tracks by Phoenix include: "Too Young", "Definitive Breaks", and "Rome". Phoenix has a very unique sound that no one can possibly match.

Julian Casablancas

Julian Casablancas is one of my idols. After many years with The Strokes, Julian went solo. Although he went solo, he is still a member of The Strokes, who are expecting the release of their new album in September of 2010. My absolute favorite tracks include: "Glass", "Ludlow Street", and "Tourist". While these are my favorite tracks, I can't stress how amazing the entire album is.

Below is an excellent live version of the song "River of Brakelights" perfomed on Jimmy Fallon. I encourage everyone to download his LP "Phrazes For The Young".
